ANTONETTE MONTALVO, VISIONARY NURSE®

HERE TO INVEST IN YOUR VISION I am Owner of Antonette Montalvo Consulting and Coaching Services - where I serve as a Community Health Consultant and Coach and Mentor for Nurses, board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, educator, and author. I founded the Visionary Nurse® brand and Co-founded Montalvo International Community Health Initiative - a community-focused grassroots effort committed to innovatively and collaboratively addressing the health disparities seen in vulnerable communities. I am also a proud alum of Emory University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, where I have been honored to share many of my experiences with past and present nursing students. For starters, check out my episode on Penn Nursing: Amplify Nursing Podcast. ​ With a passion for population and community health, as well as a desire to inspire the visionary leadership in others, I released my e-book entitled: Visionary Nurse®: 90-days of Inspirational Musings on being Influentially Visionary in 2019, which is designed to motivate nurses to be innovative in their approach to the profession, and it has been inspired by her own journey in becoming a visionary nurse. ​ What's my motivation? As a Community Health Consultant, I carry out my desire to create effective and sustainable change in the lives of children and their families, by impacting the health of the community as a whole and leveraging available resources through strategic collaboration.​​ With over a decade of experience in developing health education, promotion, and initiatives, both nationally and internationally, I will help equip you with the tools you need to craft your own passionately compassionate initiatives as you dare to be visionary. My focus always stems from a desire to blend health and education, and has been supported by my educational pursuits of a Bachelors of Arts in Education with a minor in Spanish from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. And, further supported through my Bachelors in Science in Nursing and Masters in Science in Nursing in Pediatric Primary Care with a minor in Global Health Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My passions are also accompanied by an extensive amount of experience living and traveling throughout Central America and the Caribbean, which solidified my belief that cultural competency and sensitivity is a key to establishing effective relationships with patients and families. ​ As a Coach & Mentor for Nurses, I support future nurses and nurse professionals on vision and leadership. By mentoring, coaching, and advising others on being truly visionary, we are able to understand how to develop as a leader, stay motivated, and leave a legacy that will impact health in a sustainable way. Simply put - I am committed to seeing you become a "visionary leader," live out your own dreams, and transform the landscape of your community or sphere of influence. And, I am passionately dedicated to helping you live a life with purpose and influence. My motivation as a coach does not solely come from my learned experiences in motivational interviewing and health coaching as a nurse, but also through the impact of lived experiences where I have personally learned how to be resilient in the midst of tragedy, transition, and hardships. Because of that, it is my desire to help you stay true to your own dreams and visions despite the heaviness of life circumstances. I want to support you as you write your own story through your own journey, pain, and joy. I want you to understand how to develop as a leader, stay motivated, and leave a legacy. So, I challenge you to take the first step and ask yourself - so what are YOU gonna do with your life? And my hope for you is: may you dare to be influentially visionary!
