#healthyneighborhoods

I love supporting the vision and dreams of those around me, especially when it's a dear friend. With that said, I'm proud to promote the work of a dear friend and fellow community health advocate - Veronica Squires, and her colleague, Breanna Lathrop. Veronica is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Good Samaritan Center in Atlanta, GA, and has written this book with her co-worker, Breanna, who is a Family Nurse Practitioner and COO of the organization.

The pair recently released on amazon - in print and digital format the book entitled: How Neighborhoods Make Us Sick: Restoring Health and Wellness to Our Communities.

The authors use this platform to discuss the importance of health equity, the impact of social determinants of health, and the stance that all people should have access to good health, while reflecting on some of their own experiences living and working in underserved communities. Their hope is that they are able to provide a tool to support each of us, as we all pursue our own missions to change the course of health.

As a New Year goal, consider checking out their website: https://letsmakehealthyneighborhoods.com, and most importantly, ordering a copy of their book from Amazon.
